Urban Truck has sent us comprehensive details and a full image gallery concerning their latest product, the Land Rover Defender Ultimate RS.
The UK-based tuners are specialized in modifying the Land Rover Defender and for their most recent work they decided to install a GM-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine available in different states of tune ranging from 430 HP (316 kW) to 500 HP (368 kW), with torque standing at a generous 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). All that power is transferred to both axles through a six-speed automatic transmission featuring an electronic gear selector module.
Aside from the American engine transplant, the Defender has gone through some other massive changes, including large dual stainless steel exhaust pipes, an all-black exterior, glossy red brake calipers, privacy glass, carbon fiber vents on the hood and satin black steering guard. It has also received a custom front grille, 18-inch wheels with Yokohama tires, Bilstein damper kit, anti-roll bar kit and sport springs lowering the off-roader by two inches.
It’s the same story inside the cabin where there’s an Alpine satellite navigation system, heated Recaro Sportster CS seats wrapped in Nappa leather, a material also found on the dashboard, steering wheel and steering column. The Defender Ultimate RS also has aluminum front door handles, Momo steering wheel, rear parking sensors and an Alpine subwoofer upgrade.
